I love music and the way the instruments are played and the tune. I have a piano at my house. On Tuesdays, I have music lessons. Right now I am in the green book which is level two. I passed the orange book which is level one. I still have the brown book, and professional book to go which are higher levels.

ReplyDeleteThere are so many interests in my busy life as a retired teacher. While I no longer have a full piano, I do have two keyboards. One is a stand alone keyboard I try to play at times (I have taught myself a little) and the other can be powered by an iPad or plugged in my computer when I want to add sound effects or a little music to the videos/DVDs I make.
Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to learn to play an intrument when I was young. It was only when I became a teachers I taught myself a little piano, recorder and flute. I often taught recorder to classes and have recordings of our wonderful local combined schools recorder group. Flute was strange because I knew how to play many notes but wasn't skilled yet I was the flute teacher in a school band. Luckily, on of the students was up to Grade 4 in flute so he helped us all.
Soon I will be attending a music camp for Years 6 to 11 students from 15 local schools. I am not there as a music instructor. We have a number of talented teachers and members of the public for that. I am there to capture photos and videos so I can produce a DVD set for the students and staff. It's great fun with so many talented people singing/playing music.
Keep up your interest in music. Music, to me, paints pictures in sound.

The flute is a really cool instrument to play at school or at home. I have a play flute at my house and I love to play with it when I have free time and when my dad is not home. It is really fun
playing with the flute at home.
Have you ever learned to play a guitar or a ukulele before? I have not played or learned to play guitar, but I did learn and play the ukulele. First, I have a book at home to tell me what notes I am suppose to play. I don't play it that often anymore because it is out of tune.
Playing the piano is fun for me. My favorite part is singing to the music. I love to sing to songs when I am playing an instrument like the piano.
